What documents are required for an Uber driver?

You must have a valid U.S. driver’s license, proof of residence in your city, state, or province, proof of car insurance if you plan to drive your car and an appropriate driver profile photo.
How often can I change my profile photo?

For safety reasons, Uber can only update your profile photo if your appearance has changed compared to the existing image. If your request is approved, Uber will remove your old profile photo. Once it's removed, you can upload a new profile photo in the Driver app. You need to provide a new photo and details (if possible). This will help speed up the review of your request.
Why would a document be rejected upon upload?

A document may be rejected if it is unclear, blurry, dark, or if the information is hard to read. Ensure all four corners of the document are visible and that it is not expired. The information on the document must match the details in your Uber profile and other documents. Upload all pages of the document if required. If the document has multiple pages, try uploading each one separately to ensure all information can be read.
What are the requirements to drive for Uber Black?

To be an Uber Black driver, you must maintain a star rating of 4.85 or higher, have commercial insurance, and provide additional required documentation. The vehicle must be 6 years old or less, have a black exterior, black leather or vegan leather interior, seat at least 4 passengers in addition to the driver, have no cosmetic damage or missing pieces, have working windows, no visible stains, and operational A/C.
