You must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of residence in your city, state, or province. You need to provide proof of car insurance if you plan to drive your car. You must have a suitable driver profile photo.
Is the schedule flexible with Uber?

Drive at times that are convenient for you. You can drive and take breaks on your schedule because, with Uber, you are your boss. You can even drive at night if that’s more comfortable for you.
How do other drivers on the road know that I am a rideshare driver?

Some regulations require you to display a sign or sticker that helps riders identify you as a rideshare driver. To assist with this, the company provides a removable Uber sticker, which should be displayed on your vehicle whenever you are online (if required). If the sticker is not properly displayed or visible when you are driving with the Driver app (day or night), you may be penalized by local authorities.
What are the requirements to drive for Comfort?

To be a Comfort driver, you must have a minimum rating of 4.85 stars and complete at least 100 trips. Other additional requirements include maintaining eligibility for a different Uber option, such as UberX, Select, UberXL, Uber Black, or Uber Black SUV, and driving a vehicle with more legroom than smaller, compact cars eligible for UberX that meet the minimum vehicle year requirement.
Can a driver receive tips through the app, and what percentage belongs to them?

Customers always have the option to leave tips in the app. Tips are 100% owned by the driver and are paid directly to them. You can go to the Driver app to view your tips.
How do you get paid in Uber?

You can have your earnings deposited to the bank account of your choice on Monday mornings. Open the Wallet section of your menu, select Payment Method, and Add Bank Account. Additionally, your earnings can be deposited to your bank account or debit card instantly. Go to Wallet, select Cash Out, and choose the payment method. Another option is to request your earnings be deposited to a bank account or debit card any day of the week. Go to Earnings, select Flex Pay, then Transfer Now. The fourth method is to make deposits directly to your Uber Pro Card at the end of every trip. The Uber Pro Card is a debit card, and no credit check is necessary.
How much can I earn per hour as a driver?

Rates vary by country, state, city, and even by the hour. For example, in New York City, you can earn $36.75 per hour. This figure is based on the average earnings of drivers in New York from 06/17/2024 to 07/15/2024. Since the median is the midpoint, you may earn more or less than the average amount. To avoid confusion, drivers are paid based on completed trips, not hourly.
