What are 2-way ratings?

Partner drivers and users can rate each other (from 1 to 5 stars) at the end of each trip. Ratings are given anonymously, so neither partner drivers nor users can know the rating they received for a specific journey or from a particular person. Trips with low ratings are recorded, and users may lose access to the app to help protect the Uber community.
Can an Uber driver also make deliveries?

Yes, you can be an Uber courier using either four-wheeled or two-wheeled vehicles. For car delivery drivers, you need an insulated delivery bag, a phone mount, a flashlight, and additional cup holders. To be a two-wheeled vehicle courier, get a helmet, an insulated delivery bag, reflectors or lights, a phone mount, plastic bags, and a flashlight.
What types of fares are there?

Fares can be per minute and mile. In some cities, you’ll receive a base fare plus additional money for the time and distance you drive. Your earnings are determined at the end of each trip based on how long and how far you travel. There are also Upfront Fares. In some cities, you can see how much you'll earn and where you'll go before accepting a ride. Upfront fares are calculated based on current traffic conditions, destination, and demand. If unexpected congestion occurs and the trip becomes much longer, the fare will increase.
Can a driver receive tips through the app and what percentage belongs to them?

Customers always have the option to leave tips in the app. Tips are 100% owned by the driver and are paid directly to them. You can go to the Driver app to view your tips.
How should a driver handle transporting people with disabilities?

Uber expects driver-partners to comply with all state, federal, and local laws regarding the transportation of passengers with disabilities. Failure to accommodate passengers with disabilities violates the driver’s contractual obligations with Uber. Drivers are expected to accommodate customers using devices such as walkers, canes, foldable wheelchairs, and other mobility aids whenever possible.

Visit the Uber Vehicle Marketplace to find more eco-friendly vehicle options, and compare a variety of suppliers and models side-by-side to find a solution that works for you. You can find it in your app by going to Account, then Vehicles, and finally tapping View Rental Options.
What is UberXL?

UberXL is a vehicle option for drivers. To qualify for UberXL, your vehicle must have 4 doors with independent passenger doors, 7 factory-installed seats and seat belts, working windows, and air conditioning.
Does one insurance policy suffice for driving in different states?

Not all insurance companies are the same, and as a result, not all states offer the same coverage. You need to understand your insurance policy and how the app's insurance works in case you ever get into an accident while working.
Is it safer for a beginner driver to drive during the day or at night?

Nights are usually busier and less safe than days, especially on weekends or holidays. Factors affecting safety include drunk passengers, drunk drivers on the roads, and reduced visibility. To feel more confident initially, make trips during the day.
Can I use other apps besides Uber while working?

Yes, and it is even advisable to do so. Use apps that help you make better decisions. This can include competitor apps to see what bonuses and guarantees they offer compared to your primary app, or downloading an events calendar for your city to know when it will be busy. Make the apps work for you, not the other way around.
