What are 2-way ratings?

Partner drivers and users can rate each other (from 1 to 5 stars) at the end of each trip. Ratings are given anonymously, so neither partner drivers nor users can know the rating they received for a specific journey or from a particular person. Trips with low ratings are recorded, and users may lose access to the app to help protect the Uber community.
Can an Uber driver also make deliveries?

Yes, you can be an Uber courier using either four-wheeled or two-wheeled vehicles. For car delivery drivers, you need an insulated delivery bag, a phone mount, a flashlight, and additional cup holders. To be a two-wheeled vehicle courier, get a helmet, an insulated delivery bag, reflectors or lights, a phone mount, plastic bags, and a flashlight.
What types of fares are there?

Fares can be per minute and mile. In some cities, you’ll receive a base fare plus additional money for the time and distance you drive. Your earnings are determined at the end of each trip based on how long and how far you travel. There are also Upfront Fares. In some cities, you can see how much you'll earn and where you'll go before accepting a ride. Upfront fares are calculated based on current traffic conditions, destination, and demand. If unexpected congestion occurs and the trip becomes much longer, the fare will increase.
Can a driver receive tips through the app and what percentage belongs to them?

Customers always have the option to leave tips in the app. Tips are 100% owned by the driver and are paid directly to them. You can go to the Driver app to view your tips.
Can a driver with hearing impairments work for Uber?

Uber is committed to supporting drivers with hearing impairments. Several new features help with this, such as Flashing trip requests, when you receive a new trip request, the app notifies you with a flashing indicator along with the standard sound notification. Rider notification is when the app informs riders that their driver is deaf or hard of hearing, which promotes better communication. Trip destination prompt is the function when drivers receive an additional prompt to enter the destination. This ensures all necessary information is received before the trip starts. Text-only messaging, drivers cannot call but can send text messages if they need to contact you, ensuring no important information is missed.
Does a driver receive additional payment for reserved trips?

Reserve riders pay a driver a premium for Uber Reserve trips as they need a reliable experience. An additional reservation fee and extra wait time are built into the Reserve fare. The Uber Driver app will notify the driver when it is time to go online and head to the pickup location for any Reserve trips they have accepted.
What is Uber Black?

Uber Black is a premium vehicle option with higher requirements for drivers. To be an Uber Black driver, you must keep a star rating of 4.85 or higher, have commercial insurance, and have additional required documentation. The vehicle must be 6 years old or less, have a black exterior, black leather or vegan leather interior, seat at least 4 passengers in addition to the driver, have no cosmetic damage or missing pieces, have working windows, no visible stains, and operational A/C.
Is it mandatory to have a dashcam in the car?

All rideshare drivers should have a dashcam. It is an inexpensive insurance policy that accurately shows what happens in the event of an accident. You can also get one that is displayed in your car to confirm your position if a passenger falsely accuses you of harassment, sexual assault, or any number of issues.
Should I press "Accept" on every ride that pops up?

Not every ride is profitable and worth your effort. This can be a factor if you are trying to position yourself in a certain area of your market. If a ride takes you in the opposite direction, it might not be the best ride for you. Analyze routes and timing to choose the best option.
