What are the minimum requirements to become a driver?

To become an Uber driver, you must meet the minimum driving age. You need at least one year of driving experience in the USA (three years if you are under 25). A state license is required. Use an appropriate 4-door vehicle.
What kind of photo is suitable for being an Uber driver?

A good profile photo must be clear and visible so the customer can identify you as the driver or courier. Your photo should have the following elements:
no hats or sunglasses (eyeglasses and religious garments are accepted);
full face and top of shoulders;
good lighting;
not blurry;
only one person in the picture;
the face is centered in the frame.
To minimize safety risks, the profile photo can only be uploaded once.
What types of fares are there?

Fares can be per minute and mile. In some cities, you’ll receive a base fare plus additional money for the time and distance you drive. Your earnings are determined at the end of each trip based on how long and how far you travel. There are also Upfront Fares. In some cities, you can see how much you'll earn and where you'll go before accepting a ride. Upfront fares are calculated based on current traffic conditions, destination, and demand. If unexpected congestion occurs and the trip becomes much longer, the fare will increase.
Can a driver receive tips through the app and what percentage belongs to them?

Customers always have the option to leave tips in the app. Tips are 100% owned by the driver and are paid directly to them. You can go to the Driver app to view your tips.
If I own an electric vehicle, can I become an Uber driver?

If your car has a hybrid or fully electric engine, you will automatically be eligible for Uber Green trips starting June 8, 2023. By choosing Uber Green, you help make your city more sustainable. Every Uber Green trip in a hybrid or electric vehicle emits at least 55% less carbon than a regular trip.

What type of vehicle is an SUV?

If your SUV is black and seats at least 6 passengers in addition to the driver, your vehicle may qualify for the Uber Black SUV. Other additional requirements and vehicle requirements must align with Uber Black.
What do passengers often miss during the ride?

Phone chargers. It would be great if you could provide passengers with a quick charge on the go. Try to have the most popular chargers on hand to accommodate a wider range of passenger phones.
Is it safer for a beginner driver to drive during the day or at night?

Nights are usually busier and less safe than days, especially on weekends or holidays. Factors affecting safety include drunk passengers, drunk drivers on the roads, and reduced visibility. To feel more confident initially, make trips during the day.
Can I use other apps besides Uber while working?

Yes, and it is even advisable to do so. Use apps that help you make better decisions. This can include competitor apps to see what bonuses and guarantees they offer compared to your primary app, or downloading an events calendar for your city to know when it will be busy. Make the apps work for you, not the other way around.
