How can I create an Uber account?

Creating an Uber account requires a valid email address and phone number. You’ll also need to create a password and agree to the terms and conditions and our privacy notice.
Fill in your first and last name, phone number, and preferred language.
Once you have completed this part of the registration process, we will send you a text message to verify your phone number.
Next, enter your payment details. Adding a credit or debit card number allows you to automatically charge your fare after each ride.
Once you've provided this information, we'll send you an email to confirm your account registration.
Why did the error occur when adding payment methods?

If the CVV number or billing zip code for your credit or debit card is entered incorrectly, you may receive a message about an error processing your payment after a trip.
Try removing the payment method, then add it again, making sure all info is correct.
If you continue to receive messages about payment errors, contact your financial institution to verify that your payment account is active and verified internationally.
Is there a difference in pricing for different types of rides?

Yes, UberX is the cheapest type of ride, while Uber Comfort, Uber Black, Uber Select and Uber XL are more expensive ones. Rates could depend on driver rating or vehicle’s characteristics. As a rule, Uber Comfort rides cost approximately 20% higher than UberX.
Is there a difference in rates for Uber Comfort and Uber XL?

UberXL drivers can earn up to 30% higher fares per trip.
Does poor rating affect driver earnings?

One or two negative reviews won’t affect you immediately. But in case your rating drops lower than the region average you would get a warning from Uber about your situation as well as feedback so you know how to improve your rating. Also Uber may suggest third-party Quality Improvement courses to improve your ratings. In the long run, if your rating is still lower than average, you can lose Uber driver privileges.
What period of time does your driver rating represent?

Your Uber rating is from the last 500 ratings received or up to 500 if you have fewer drives.
What is a Quest Bonus?

Uber Quest is a driver incentive that pays a reward when drivers complete a certain amount of earnings within a tier. For example, if a driver completes 40 rides, he/she will earn an additional $50.
What are the requirements for the Quests?

Usually, Quests are available for a certain period of time, which you can find out about through a notification in the Uber app. Also, both Uber rides and UberEats deliveries count for the bonus.
Does the cancellation fee apply if the driver cancels the ride?

Yes, if the driver has been waiting at the rider’s pickup location for a specific amount of time. Depending on the ride’s type, waiting time differs: for most Economy types it is 5 minutes, for most Premium types - 15 minutes, for Comfort types - 10 minutes and for Shared rides - 2 minutes.
