How can I create an Uber account?

Creating an Uber account requires a valid email address and phone number. You’ll also need to create a password and agree to the terms and conditions and our privacy notice.
Fill in your first and last name, phone number, and preferred language.
Once you have completed this part of the registration process, we will send you a text message to verify your phone number.
Next, enter your payment details. Adding a credit or debit card number allows you to automatically charge your fare after each ride.
Once you've provided this information, we'll send you an email to confirm your account registration.
What should I do if my email is already in use?

If you receive an error message stating that your email is already in use, you may have previously signed up for an Uber account.
We recommend that users have only one Uber account for both Rides and Uber Eats.
What cars are eligible for UberX?

Examples of car models eligible for UberX are the Toyota Camry, Toyota Prius, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Lincoln Town Car, Nissan Sentra, and Chevrolet Malibu.
What’s the Difference Between Uber Comfort and Uber XL?

Both Uber Comfort and Uber XL are examples of premium rides. However, Uber Comfort offers more legroom whereas an Uber XL must hold 6 or more passengers. To qualify for Uber Comfort, the driver must also meet minimum ratings and tips requirements.
Is Uber driver rating important for drivers' earnings?

Yes, depending on the driver ratings, drivers can expect higher fares and higher and more rides thus increasing their earnings.
What is needed for higher ratings?

To get higher ratings you should fulfill the following criteria: clean vehicle (such as clean windows and removed stains), being safety-minded (keeping the safety of your passengers the highest priority), being a polite and punctual driver, providing luxuries for your passengers (such as hand-sanitizer or tissues), be attentive to their mood (either they are talkative or not, do they want to listen to the radio, etc.) and help them with luggage.
What is a Boost?

Boost is a cash bonus that a driver can get for driving at certain times. For example, for every trip made between 5 pm and 6 pm, the driver would be paid an extra $2 per trip.
Is the Quest bonus available in every city?

The Quest bonus is available in big cities with higher levels of demand for rides. If Quest is available in your city you will automatically see it in the Uber App in the “Earnings” menu.
How are rider cancellation fees charged?

When a trip request is canceled or the rider doesn’t arrive at the pickup location, you may receive a cancellation fee from the rider. When a rider cancels after you’ve accepted their trip, you may receive either the standard cancellation fee or the actual time and distance you spent driving towards the pickup, whichever is more.
